Product news: Claude Code Review becomes generally available, making review decisions a teaching opportunity

Anthropic

AI Product and Learning Report

Anthropic made Claude Code Review generally available for Team and Enterprise organizations on October 15. This October 16 report examines how programming courses might use automated findings as material for explanation and testing. A proposed review exercise asks students to reproduce a reported defect, defend or reject the diagnosis, and verify a correction. Faster product workflows do not establish stronger programming skills, and a completed automated review does not remove responsibility for the final code.

Product news: Devin's Astra testing case separates a working demonstration from the checks still missing

OpenAI

AI Product and Learning Report

OpenAI's September 11 Cognition case describes Devin using GPT-6 Astra to test software and return a recording alongside a report of passed and untested checks. This September 13 article examines that evidence format, rather than repeating Astra's model launch. Anthropic's browser actions and Gemini's coding demonstrations provide comparisons. For student software projects, the useful question is what a demonstration proves, what it leaves open, and who performs the next check.
